Post V-Diet Fat Reduction Plan — The Workout
by codemonkey on Jul.20, 2009, under Dave's Rants
Since I can now see the end of the tunnel, and I know my V-Diet will one day be over, I’ve started thinking about the future. I have a lot of weight to lose, and the V-Diet can only do so much. So, I’d like to continue losing weight, and also preserve and/or gain some muscle mass. Obviously, an important piece of this is my diet, which I will cover in another post. But, there are also some tricks with exercising that I would like to address here.
Critical Mass

Those of you who know me, know that I’ve been obsessed with my weight recently. For the last 2-3 months, I’ve been trying to eat healthy, and hit the gym 3-4 days a week. I hit a plateau, and decided to give The Velocity Diet 3.0 a try.
The diet has been working, albeit slowly. But, now I’m trying to decide what to do afterward. (Is there a life after V-Diet?). I plan on joining Weight Watchers with my wife, but, I’d like to also stick to something a bit extreme too. (I tend to do better with extreme than with easy — for me, it’s easier to stick to something impossible, than to just avoid the twinkie)
So, I’ve been looking into the P90X exercise / nutrition regimen. I have found no bad reviews, just that it is REALLY hard. (I heard the same thing about the V-Diet) Anyone out there have any opinions either way?

I was talking to my son about a song playing on a radio. The conversation went something like this:
Me: That’s Guster. I’ve met them.
Quinn: Are they nice?
Me: Why, yes, they are. They’re Uncle Loch’s favorite band.
Quinn: Are they geeky?
Me: Actually, yes. Why would you ask that?
Quinn: All your friends are geeky.
Nice.
